How does RestMap rate restrooms?

RestMap fuses six data sources — OpenStreetMap, Refuge Restrooms, Apple Places, Open Charge Map, brand intelligence (600+ chains), and user ratings — into one quality score per location. Is RestMap free on iPhone?

Yes — RestMap is completely free to download and use on iPhone and iPad. There are no subscriptions, no in-app purchases, and no hidden fees. Get it on the App Store.

How can I contribute ratings?

After visiting a restroom, tap on the location and use the thumbs up/down buttons to rate your experience. Your rating adds to the data shown to the next traveler.

Does RestMap work offline?

Cached data works offline. Locations and ratings you've previously loaded stay available without signal — useful for rural stretches and dead zones. Live search for new areas requires connectivity.

How do I report incorrect information?

If you find a location with incorrect information (wrong hours, closed permanently, etc.), please email us with the location details and we will investigate.

What data does RestMap collect?

RestMap processes your location on-device to find nearby restrooms. We collect anonymous ratings and reviews you submit. We don't sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for details.
