A mental map became an app.
After years of travel across North America, Europe, and Oceania with three kids, our family had a mental map of stops worth taking. We also remembered the ones we wished we had skipped.
We wanted to make that decision easier to share. A useful stop might need a changing table, space for a caregiver, or simply a manageable detour. A pin on a map doesn’t tell the whole story.
That is what we are building RestMap around: helping you choose a stop that fits the people and the journey.
A small app with a practical job.
RestMap combines public map data, place information, quality estimates, and traveler contributions. We show sources where available and make room for what we don’t know. A score can help you compare places; it cannot promise what you will find when you arrive.
You can use the app without an account. Restroom finding and medical, accessibility, and family data stay free. Optional Premium purchases support deeper planning and research.

CarPlay in v3.5 brings the restroom stops into the drive itself. The aim is still the same: a little less uncertainty about the next break.
