• Search that remembers your chains: nearby search now floats the chains you tend to choose, the places you return to, and the kinds of stops you pick at this time of day toward the top. It personalizes the order of your results — it does not change any quality grade. Private by design: it runs anonymously and entirely on your device.
• Rate in a tap, right from the map: after you spend time at a place, an optional quick card lets you say how the restroom was — and confirm a key amenity or two — without opening menus. Dismissible and anonymous; you can still rate the existing way any time.
• Steadier navigation: the in-app navigator holds steadier through reroutes and when you rejoin your route, so your next stop and voice guidance stay in sync.
• Under-the-hood reliability: a broad reliability and polish pass across the app, widgets, and Lock Screen — fewer edge-case glitches, sturdier behavior all around.
• Privacy: unchanged. No accounts, no tracking, no new identifiers; the new personalization runs entirely on your device.

RestMap 2.15 makes what the app already does smarter, fairer, and steadier — better-calibrated scores, on-device search that learns the chains you pick, and an optional rate-in-a-tap card after a visit.

• Live navigation on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island: your next turn, a live-counting ETA, and your next stop's quality, open status, and detour cost at a glance. Glance down mid-drive without unlocking, or keep RestMap going while you use another app.
• Walking, counted down: walking somewhere close? The Dynamic Island counts down your minutes to arrival — lock the phone and it still guides you there.
• Scout Ahead, organized: upcoming stops are now grouped by category — rest stops & restrooms, food, gas, charging, hotels — with a single best pick up top and your favorite chains floated to the front.
• Smoother navigation: another pass on the in-app navigator — steadier turn arrows and a calmer follow camera.
• Keep nearby data fresh: gentle one-tap confirms let you help keep nearby place details accurate — no forms, no detours, and never when you're busy.

RestMap 2.14 carries the navigator onto the surfaces you actually look at when the phone is locked — the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island — and organizes your upcoming stops by what you need.

• Turn-by-turn navigation, built in: tap Navigate and RestMap guides you there — a smooth follow camera, turn arrows drawn on the road, and lane guidance at complex exits. Prefer Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Waze? Choose your navigation app in Settings; an existing choice is respected.
• Driving or walking: picked automatically by distance, switchable mid-trip with one tap. Walking gets a dotted path, walking-scale distances, your compass heading when you stop to look around, and an arrival that tells you which side of the street.
• Honest off-route behavior: clear "Rerouting…" cues and a position marker that stays truthful when you leave the route.
• Smarter road-trip stops: required stops respect tight detour limits scaled by quality grade — and when a remote corridor genuinely has nothing close, the stop is labeled "Best Available" instead of pretending. Lunch stops land at lunchtime, and the trip bar shows live ETAs and highway exits for upcoming stops.
• Small moments: Quick Find has your route ready the moment you tap Go, closing-soon places say so plainly ("Closes in 45 min · you arrive in 12"), Waddles may share a local fact when you arrive somewhere new, and your route draws itself when a trip begins.
• Privacy: unchanged. Navigation runs on your device with Apple Maps routing data — no new identifiers, no accounts, no tracking.

RestMap 2.13 rebuilds navigation from the ground up so the app can guide you there itself — no more bouncing to another maps app.

• Find Best improvements: nearby high-quality restrooms get stronger priority, so the app is less likely to send you away from a good option you are already near.
• Scout IQ and Scout Ahead: route-aware filtering favors stops that are actually ahead of you, with better handling for off-route or edge-case candidates.
• Map and cache efficiency: fewer repeated place lookups and lighter refresh work while moving, aimed at reducing heat and battery use during active travel.
• Contribution reliability: rating and place-submission recovery is more robust, with clearer source labels when user-submitted data is shown.
• Website refresh: updated landing pages, clearer breadcrumbs, tighter source language, and better mobile layout checks.

RestMap 2.12 focuses on clearer recommendations, route-aware Scout IQ behavior, map responsiveness, and a cleaner website for the same release.

• Scout IQ on the map: while you drive without a planned trip, RestMap previews your next exit on the map with a heading chevron, ranked stop markers, and an "Exit ahead" banner. Available in the US to start.
• Clearer trip planning: the Trips tab now has labeled From and To fields. Tap Home to drive home in one tap, Swap to flip start and destination, then Get Directions.
• Smarter quality scores: RestRoom IQ now uses a regional quality baseline, so places with little data start from a more realistic score, and caregiver-aware scoring is fairer at venues with a family or companion restroom signal.
• Polish and fixes: the You-tab notification bell stays tappable as you scroll, EV range reads in your local units, and dozens of surfaces are cleaner on iPhone and iPad in light and dark.
